Dear Faculty of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota,
As we continue to execute progress on our strategic plan, while simultaneously addressing the challenges posed by COVID-19, I want to thank you for your dedication to online learning.
Many of you made the pivot to remote learning, and many others have registered for and completed many of the courses we are providing for online instructor certification.
This note is to let you know that, during this fiscal year (2020-2021), we are incentivizing the completion of the three four-week modules with a one-time stipend of $1,000.00.
Our Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) awards participants a certificate when they complete the first introductory-level course. Participants who complete all three levels of online certification will receive the stipend.
Our long range plan is that only those faculty who have successfully completed online certification will be eligible to teach courses designed to be taught entirely online.
